I used service magic since 2001 and fired them last month. I no longer use any lead service other than roofer networks.

I got tired of paying $75 to compete with 4 other roofers. Most of which were severely under pricing jobs. I didn't sell a single lead from service magic this entire year.

I diverted that massive investment in funds to generating my own leads the exact same methods service magic uses. Which I always did, however I am investing more into it now and seeing a much larger return.

You have a website and are much better off setting up an google adwords and yahoo marketing solutions account and doing it yourself. It's real easy once you get it setup and I have a much higher closing ratio that through any toher lead service.

And this is coming from a guy who at one point and time has tried almost each and ever lead serivce out there.

It all depends on how you're priced, and what type of customers live in your area. If you are priced low, you'll "buy" some jobs, but at what cost? We've tried most of the lead selling services, and very few of them are worth the money and time. We still use a bit of servicemagic, and a bit of Quality Smith.
