They have a pretty generic installation guide that should work with any panel. I have my own details that I add. With different penetrations, you'll eventually find some tricks that you feel perform well. |

Shingle nailer - you need to specify the type of metal roof you want to install.
To all - guys, standing seam is not the only metal roof out there, you know... shingles, shakes, tile... many other specialty products... _________________ Cool Flat Roof Installation services by MA Roofing Contractor

The NRCA manuals cover metal shingles in the steep slope manual and standing seam in a seperate manual _________________ visit our site |

I just got a quote for materials on a job I'm pricing for petersen standing seam alum roof. It's just a front porch, like 6 sqaure, 8' panels.
THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME $1300 FOR SHIPPING CAN THIS BE RIGHT?!?!?!?
Also, I know that a lot of guys in my area do not use bits and pieces from one manufacturer. They will have their accessories fabricated and find someone with a machine to make panels for them out of 24 gauge. Is this common or is it more common to deal directly with one manufacturer for everything? |

allways try to sel the pbr or 5vcrimp, you will do
better on those. you still have people that are going to have to have standing seam, then there gonna want
24 gauge, then there gonna want the 1 3/4" seam.
just pure installation hell.
im doing 2 45sq 4 storys rite now.
its just hell. valleys , returns.
but im glad to have them.
anyways no matter what you see in the book
its gonna be different when you get on the roof.
just sell it for a couple bucks a sq labor
and remember water flows down hill.
if using clips make shure you put a scew at the top of every panel under the cap. they will work them selves down , if only cliped.
gweedo. |
