I have a 32 X 60 pool roof (single slope, 11 ft at one end, 8 foot at other) that needs to be redone. I hope someone can help me determine which would be best to use; or are there other options? . Presently has 40 yo. fiberglass 24" on center and redwood closure strips.
I am confused by 12 oz. fiberglass vs. polycarbonate: Which is better for snow load bearing, chemical ( chlorine, altho. less than outdoor pool), moisture & mildew resistance. Second question: people have only offered foam strips, no wood let alone redwood. I am deeply concerned about the resistance of foam closure strips to deterioration from sun & chemicals as well as mildew resistance.
