I need to know the correct way to detail a flat built-up roof transition to a concrete tile roof, where the concrete is on the "down"side. I want the water to drain straight off the built-up roof onto the 6:12 concrete roof without obstruction. The plan checker wants to see a roof drain on the built-up roof, but that seems like a really bad idea. Where can I find a reference detail?

Much appreciated!

There should be a metal flashing where the BUR ties into the tile.
They are two separate roofs, the metal flashing will allow the water to drain off of the BUR onto the tile.

I could whip one up for you in MS Paintbrush, but first I need a preliminary sketch of your measurements & exactly how you intend it to look (hand drawn or something quick in Paint would work for me).

I'm minorly confusalated by your description but also think that Axiom is correct in the transition requiring metal to span the change.

If using a PC (vs Mac), do a "print screen" & paste it into a .bmp, then upload to PhotoBucket for hosting.

On the other hand, if you have AutoCad then why do you need us?
